Hacienda Jacana

Hacienda Jacana is a peaceful forest retreat and lodge nestled amongst 22 acres of lush greenery in Talparo, Trinidad. If a peaceful getaway to be amongst nature is what you are after, this is the perfect place for you.

Hacienda Jacana is a family run business, and we want to share our space so you can enjoy our natural haven. With over 170 species of birds spotted on our estate, this is a birdwatcher’s paradise.

Nested into the trees overlooking our lake, are 4 cottages. All have 2 bedrooms, a shared bathroom, fully fitted kitchen, living room, private veranda, and a downstairs seating area perfect for alfresco dining and relaxing. Each cottage has a maximum capacity of 4 adults and 2 children under 12.

House on The Hill was the original family home and is perfect for larger groups. This house has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen, ground floor living room, ground floor veranda, first floor living room, first floor veranda which has a bird’s eye view of the lake and treetops. This house as a maximum capacity of 8 including children.

There is also a hall (20ft x 50ft) which can seat up to 36 people and has a fully fitted kitchen. This space is also perfect to host a yoga class.

Cottages TT$1,000 per night for a single room for 2 adults.
Cottages TT$1,400 per night for 4 adults and 2 children under 12.
House on The Hill TT$2,100 per night for a maximum of 8 people including children.
