Welcome to La Vega Estate

Located in Central Trinidad, La Vega Estate is a 250 acre hideaway with outdoor activities and interests for the whole family. Originally a cocoa estate, La Vega is now home to a unique combination of garden centre, plant nursery, nature and recreation park.

Our Garden Centre stocks an extensive collection of plants grown here in our own Plant Nursery from both local sources and around the world.
Our Nature & Recreation Park features acres of green, scenic spaces for picnicking, playing, relaxing and enjoying the refreshing outdoors.

Our newly installed Pool Facility features two fabulous pools in a peaceful and beautiful setting surrounded by nature.

Please Note: we are open for the carnival season, including Carnival Monday, Tuesday & Ash Wednesday & we are reachable via Cameron and Batchasingh Road. Follow the signs with our logo.

Admission

Nature Park Summer Specials:
– With a hut rental, get a free fishing rod with bait and feed.
– Buy four nature park passes and get the fifth free.
– Groups 15 to 25 get 10% off admission and one free fishing rod.

Admission to Pools
General Admission (ages (13_) – $100
Child (ages 3-12) – $75
Infant (ages 2 &younger) – FREE

Admission tickets to the Pools includes use of the tables, umbrellas, lounge chairs, showers and changing areas. Poolside huts may be rented separately. It also includes complimentary entry to the Nature Park.

FISHING
Test your fishing skills! Our ponds are stocked with tasty tilapia, perfect for a on the spot cook up or fish broth dinner. Located at Lousade Pond and Lake George.
– Daily 9.00 am – 5.00 pm. Purchase at Main Entrance.
– Rental cost PER ROD is $40.00, bait supplied. Each fisher is allowed 5lbs fish/3 crayfish. Interested in more? Purchase for – – $50 per pound. Additional bait is $3.00 Per Pack & Fish Feed – $8.00 Per Pack
Please note that ONLY our bamboo rods are permitted for fishing and that the use of other rods or nets is prohibited.
THE USE OF PERSONAL FISHING EQUIPMENT IS PROHIBITED.

HUT RENTALS
Daily 9.00 am – 5.00 pm. Purchase at Main Entrance. Reservations recommended.
– Regular – Lousade # 1, 4 & 5. Bamboo Nursery, Side Walk and Riverside (Capacity 15-20 persons)
Kick back and relax in the shade of a rustic thatched with table and benches – $250
– George # 10 (Capacity 10-15 persons). A solitary hut on the point almost completely surrounded by water with parking. – $300
– Lousade # 2 (Capacity up to 80 persons). A spacious and extra-comfortable hut with a view of the pond. – $350
– Lake George # 1-9, 11, 12, 14 & 15 – $250
– Lake George # 13 – $00

JACANA CABIN
This rustic cabin features an open plan layout with the kitchen, dining and living areas downstairs and a fully air-conditioned bedroom and loft upstairs. The cabin is outfitted with a complete bathroom and hot water. The open air shower features a large jalousie window which can be thrown open for that total outdoor experience.

The bedroom is furnished with two queen beds and three single mattresses above in the loft. Linens are provided for the luxurious pillow top beds. The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooktop, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils and a BBQ pit.

The new cabin rates (+VAT):
1 – 2 Guests: $840 TTD
3+ Guests: additional $175TTD per person

Cabin guests can enjoy a 10% discount on their garden center purchase on their stay.

VENUE RENTALS
Daily 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.
Exclusive use of a specific area. Reservations required.
– Lake George Huts # 1-5 & 10 – 15. Spectacular water-side setting with spacious grounds – $7500
– Bamboo Nursery and Playing Field. Lovely secluded area adjacent to large open sports grounds – $2000
– Riverside and Garden of Meditation. Cool private sanctuaries sheltered by bamboo groves $1500
– Divine Mercy Shrine. Use of shrine for organized ceremony or function (Weddings, etc.) – $750
– For Personal Worship – FREE

Venue rentals are subject to VAT.

GUIDED TOURS
Tours by appointment only, for groups of 10+ persons.
Adult – $40.00
Child (ages 3 – 12) – $30.00
Cost includes entry to Nature & Recreation Park.

PARKING
The external Car Park is available FREE of charge.
Internal Car Park (in Nature Park & Recreation Area) – $20.00 per vehicle (Pay at Admission)
